Flying overseas or going on a long drive these holidays? Then we have the entertainment solution for you! Overdrive, our eBook and audiobook lending platform, is available for all members of the Scotch community. Audiobooks are fantastic to listen to on long drives and the demand for more of these remains high. Or perhaps you need a Lonely Planet guide for your overseas trip, in which case there are 25 simultaneous-use guides for the following countries: India, South Africa, Tanzania, Cambodia, France, Germany, US, NZ, Indonesia, Spain, Australia, Turkey, Japan, Western Europe, China, Thailand, Great Britain, Brazil, Argentina, Vietnam, Central Europe, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Zambia, Mozambique and Malawi.

Two weeks ago we purchased some more Adult and Young Adult titles. Adult authors include: Christos Tsiolkas, Camilla Lackberg, Peter Temple, Jack Higgins, Richard Castle, Steven Galloway, Charles Belfoure, Bernard Cornwell, Conn Iggulden, Luke Delaney, Paulo Coelho, Carlos Ruiz Zafon, Alistair MacLean, and George R.R. Martin. In addition, a Juvenile titles order will also be placed before the end of this term which will include a range of easy-to-read Christmas themed stories that would be great to read to young children.

The Overdrive resources are available to you 24/7, anywhere in the world and loan periods will be extended from 2 weeks to 3 weeks during the summer holidays. Please make sure you download the eBook/audiobook to your device, instead of reading it in the browser, in case you do not have internet access. If you are using a laptop you will need to download Adobe Digital Editions (eBooks) and the Overdrive app (audiobooks); if you are using an app-based device then you will only need to download the Overdrive app. To make sure you are properly set up, please view the following videos:
