On Saturday 19 October, 45 Concert Band boys from Year 7-11 together with four Music teachers made the crossing from Fremantle to Rottnest to perform at the 75th Anniversary of the Fremantle Fortress at the Kingstown Barracks on Rottnest Island.
The Concert Band was the only school group invited to perform at the event, and they performed three times during proceedings. Other performers at the event included City Of Cockburn Pipe Band, Highland Pipe Band, and the Air Force Cadets Drum Corp.
The boys enjoyed the sunshine and a sausage sizzle for lunch, experienced re-enactments and plane demonstrations, and learned first hand from veterans about Perth's military history.
This was the first performance outside the Scotch Community for many of the boys. They played with great enthusiasm and were great ambassadors for the school.

Keyboard Soiree 22 November
