The 4C boys are enjoying our new unit of inquiry, 'How the world works'. Our central idea is, 'Inventions evolve when needs and opportunities stimulate creativity'. The boys have been learning about different inventions and have examined the impact that they have had on mankind. They were lucky to have the very talented Imogen Mirmikidis visit and speak about her own invention, 'Hurphy Durphy'. The boys were very interested to discover the cause of this invention and the impact it has had on children's safety. They have also written an autobiography and will be writing a biography about an inventor of their choice. The boys have worked extremely well and are looking forward to the remainder of Spring Term.
