5W have been busy over the past few weeks completing their latest unit of inquiry, 'Symbols can express meaning and unify communication globally'. The boys have been immersing themselves in symbols and have been researching interesting questions they have generated themselves. Examples include "How does the Nike symbol communicate with their buyers?" and "How does the Olympic flag communicate globally?" The boys have been using their research skills to good effect and are starting to become excited about the upcoming PYP exhibition in Winter Term. We already have a number of very interesting speakers arranged for this busy time. A particular highlight over the past week was the Inter-House Cross Country Carnival. All the boys participated in this event and also ran with their Year 1 buddies, showing them the way and keeping them motivated on their first trip around the Cross Country course.
