Student Led Work Share & Reporting Information

The final two weeks of Spring Term have arrived with Semester Reports very much the focus of our attention in Middle School. This is the last edition of The Thistle for Autumn term.

An important event for us in the final fortnight is the Student Led Work Share morning on Tuesday 2 July. The Work Share event is an opportunity for your son to showcase his work, his environment and his knowledge by leading you around his domain explaining how life and learning unfold in his classroom. Your son has also been preparing his Student Portfolio that he will present to you during the Work Share session. The Student Portfolio is not a display of his most outstanding work, but rather a sample of work that best describes the units of work, the understandings and the processes he has gone through in each subject area. Work Share runs from 8:10am to 9:10am. You are welcome to come for 10 minutes or stay for the hour as it is a valuable reflective opportunity for your son. We look forward to seeing you then.

Following the Work Share session Anna Eriksson and I will host an MYP Reporting Information Session. This session is for parents who are new to the MYP and would like the MYP Report explained prior to the reports being sent out on the last day of term. This session will run for approximately 40 minutes from 9:10am in the Dining Hall Annexe.
