The partnership developed with the Disabled Surfers Assoiation (DSA) over the past six years has enabled hundreds of Scotch boys to learn about disability while providing a valuable service at Leighton Beach. 'Learn To Surf 'days provide an opportunity for members of the disabled community to experience the beach environment - often for the first time - assisted by teams of volunteers. For the boys involved, the experience is both challenging and hugely rewarding.
The DSA is desperately in need of corporate sponsorship to continue operating. The charity depends almost entirely on donations and the organization is run entirely by volunteers. If you can assist the DSA to gain corporate sponsorship or wish to donate privately, please contact Mr Cordner. wjcordner@scotch.wa.edu.au
