First Hockey Team v Old Boys Team

The Scotch College First Eleven hockey team took on some of our best hockey players that once wore the maroon and gold at Scotch College on 9th May.

On a rainy afternoon, eleven of our best hockey players and eleven Old Scotch College hockey players battled it out on Thomas oval.

Spectators came down to watch a friendly game between Scotch boys, old and presents but found themselves in a competition not to be missed.

The first eleven boys scored a goal within the first team minutes, the boys holding this score at half time. The game remained tight until a goal by the Old Boys late in the game ending the match, one all.

The Old Boys put up a great fight given some weary bodies, some that once represented Australia and others still playing in first division competitions.

A special thank you to everyone who came down and watched in rainy conditions, and a very big thank you for our Old Boys who came down with the hope of beating our young guns and left with a draw.
